A Typical Day in Rockids nurseries: My Happy Day

Rockids

Jul 1, 25

  • Morning Welcome
This special time helps us create a climate of trust between parents, the child and our team. It allows us to welcome each child with respect for their individuality, rhythm and needs, ensuring continuity with their home life. This exchange fosters a sense of emotional security, essential for the child’s well-being and development.

  • Educational Time
Educational activities focus on the child through guided sessions or free play in well-designed areas (creativity, motor skills, science, cosy/reading corners, symbolic play). Play, exploration and social interactions allow children to discover the world at their own pace and according to their interests and needs. Multilingualism and open-mindedness are daily values, with inclusion and celebration of each child’s cultural and linguistic background.
Our active pedagogy includes enriching experiences that go beyond the nursery’s walls: contact with nature, outings and expert-led workshops open up the world, stimulate curiosity and foster autonomy.

  • Care and Mealtimes
Care routines and meals are special moments where learning and discovery are honoured. For the youngest, each meal is a sensory adventure. By exploring flavours, textures and colours, they develop curiosity and gradually learn to eat independently. Dietary diversification is adapted to the child’s rhythm and based on healthy, balanced food.
For older children, mealtimes are moments of autonomy and responsibility. They serve themselves, try new foods, and learn to recognise hunger and fullness cues. In a warm and caring atmosphere, meals become opportunities for social learning, guided by attentive professionals who foster listening, respect and shared joy.

  • Sleep Time
Nap times are carefully organised to provide each child with rest that meets their individual needs and rhythm. We understand how vital sleep is for physical, emotional and cognitive development. For infants, naps are adapted based on signs of fatigue and family routines. Older children are offered quiet, cosy spaces where they can rest or sleep when needed.
We promote a calming atmosphere with soothing rituals (story time, dimmed lights, soft music), helping children fall asleep in a reassuring environment. Respecting each child’s rhythm is a priority, because a well-rested child is a happy child.

  • Home Time
The end-of-day transition is a key moment for meaningful communication between parents and educators. It’s a privileged time to share observations: activities, emotions, progress, or challenges. This daily exchange helps us provide tailored support and ensure continuity between home and nursery, creating a consistent and nurturing environment for the child to grow in.
