Respecting your privacy

Rockids is committed to respecting the privacy of the users of the website, particularly in the processing of their personal data.

Pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), hereinafter “GDPR”, which entered into force on 25 May 2018, Rockids is the controller of the personal data.

Processing is based on the following purpose(s): fulfilment of Rockids’ contractual obligations towards users, sending newsletters, answering users’ questions.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data of users is, in particular, the proper execution of the contractual relationship between Rockids and its users, or the entry into a contractual relationship.

Similarly, the processing of users’ personal data may be based on the legitimate interest of Rockids, if not on the consent of the users (when subscribing to a newsletter or when contacting us via the contact form on the Rockids website).

In this case, the following personal data may be collected and processed by Rockids (the list is not exhaustive): first and last name, address, date and place of birth, e-mail address, telephone number.

The data will be kept for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, without prejudice to Rockids’ obligation to keep it for a longer period of time due to legal/regulatory obligations applicable to Rockids, or due to exceptional situations that would justify a longer period of time (legal proceedings, etc.). It will therefore be kept at least as long as the user’s registration is active. In the event the user de-registers, Rockids undertakes to delete the data in its possession, without prejudice to the longer retention of certain personal data as described in this paragraph.

By accessing the website www.rockids.lu (hereinafter the “Website”) and more particularly by subscribing to the newsletter or by using the Contact Us form, the user gives their clear and unequivocal consent to the processing of their personal data by Rockids. The user is informed of the fact that they have the right to withdraw their consent. If this right is exercised, the user’s personal data will no longer be processed.

In addition, the user is informed that even without registering for the newsletter or using the contact form, certain data is collected automatically, e.g. technical data (including IP address, Internet service provider, operating system, type of browser used, date and time of access to the Website, etc.), but that this data is not passed on to third parties under any circumstances or used by Rockids to profile the users of the Website. The technical data is used solely for statistical purposes and/or for the management and/or improvement of the Website. The user of the Website is informed that, in accordance with the aforementioned European regulation, that they have various rights in specific cases: the right to be informed about the use and processing of their personal data, the right to access their personal data, the right to request the limitation of the processing, the right to rectify, delete and oppose the processing of their personal data, the right to the portability of their data as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the National Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Rockids is committed to

  • respecting users’ rights
  • only processing data that are relevant to the purpose(s) identified
  • providing, upon the user’s express request, the personal data as soon as possible and at the latest within 1 month from receiving the request
  • ensuring the confidentiality of the data collected
  • adopting the required levels of security for the protection of personal data and providing all technical means and measures within its reach to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration, leakage, unauthorised access and theft of personal data.

Rockids cannot be held responsible for security breaches outside its control.

The user and Rockids agree to respect the rules set out in the regulations.
